The Outreach Program

The Outreach Program is a mini National Science Center to represent Pusat Sains Negara (PSN) throughout the country especially to rural and remote areas. The program is designed to fulfill the needs of the people to Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) through programs offered by PSN especially to the communities across the region.
There are three outreach programs available:

Kelana Sains
Perkhemahan Sains
Singgah Sains

Science on wheels Program

Kelana Sains Program

Kelana Sains is an external invitation program offered by PSN to people who do not have the opportunity to visit PSN. Invitations are opened to all levels such as ministries, state governments, schools, private organizations, governmental organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) as well as communities.

The program offers the participants an experience to learn more about the wonder of science through interactive and hands-on science activities. A variety of activities — science shows, science workshops and interactive exhibits — are available. The program is designed to foster awareness and promote STI to the community.

Initially, the program has started by using only a caravan as a moving exhibit material around the Klang Valley and has subsequently been upgraded to an exhibition bus which is larger and mobile to explore throughout Peninsular Malaysia.

Several options are available in this program:
• Exhibition Bus
• Modular exhibition
• Science shows
• Science Workshop
• Skill Station (Science Explorace)
